It was a pleasure hosting an apprenticeships roundtable yesterday with the current and former DfE Apprenticeships Ministers, colleagues, the Institute of the Motor Industry, WMG, Association of Colleges and Bridgewater and Taunton College.

Popped into Riverside in Rochdale for a catch-up with Mayor Mike Holly as he enters his last few weeks as the Borough's first citizen.

I thanked Mike and Mayoress Margaret for a packed year of civic events and for raising thousands for charity.

Today is World Parkinson's Day - earlier this month I met with Jagdeep and Carole from Parkinson's UK to learn more about how Parkinson's has impacted their lives and discuss how government can better support them.

I've received several complaints about fly-tipping across the constituency including Roch Valley.

Earlier this month I met with Sarah at the North West Training Centre to discuss Service Leavers and training.

Sarah is setting up an excellent training centre which will provide much-needed skills training to Service Leavers in our area.

It was fantastic to meet with students at Cedar Lodge Independent School to discuss my role as an MP and the political process.

Sarah and Nikki run a fantastic business at the Newborn Emporium. Their hard work and dedication is clear. It was great to meet with them last week to discuss their business, concerns and connect them with local training providers.

Great to meet with BDB last week at Queen's Park Bridge to discuss their repair work to the bridge in addition to community investment in the nearby park.

Wonderful to meet with students at St Peter's to mark Science Week. Students wrote letters about what they enjoy about science - it was great to hear their stories and passion for science.

They have bright futures ahead of them!
